Press Release: Teen Entrepreneur and Influencer to attend Instagram’s first Kindness Prom

Washington, DC - Teen entrepreneur, author and speaker, Gabrielle Jordan, will attend the first ever Instagram Kindness Prom. The invite-only event will take place on Saturday, May 5th in Venice Beach, California.

In addition to the anti-bullying comment filter announced this week during the F8 Developers Conference, Instagram co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger announced that they are hosting the #KindnessProm to celebrate young Gen Z leaders who are inspiring their peers by helping kindness, acceptance and support grow on Instagram and in the world.

Gabrielle will join students and “teen influencers” from around the country to celebrate in the prom themed event. It will be a “totally immersive, Instagrammable experience that focuses on positivity, kindness, giving back and community,” according to Instagram. Instead of choosing a prom king and queen, each guest will get a kindness award. “I’m so excited to be a part of this special event celebrating young change makers, not just from behind our phone screens but face to face!” Gabrielle said. Disney Host and DJ Miss Lela Brown will play the music and there will also be a surprise guest performance.

Gabrielle has made national headlines and news features for her inspiring journey as a youth entrepreneur, bestselling author, international speaker and mentor. At 9, Gabrielle’s passion for jewelry design led her to launch her company, Jewelz of Jordan. By 11, she published the Amazon #1 bestseller, The Making of A Young Entrepreneur: The Kid’s Guide To Developing The Mindset For Success, which has sold nearly 10,000 copies. Gabrielle went on to co-found the ExCEL Youth Mentoring Institute where she mentors and provides resources for other youth leaders and entrepreneurs. The TEDx speaker has directly impacted thousands as she travels to speak at conferences and events both nationally and internationally.
