Mount Washington School Visit

I had the best time talking to the students at the Mount Washington School in Baltimore, MD for their Black History Month Program.

A sudden snowstorm forced all schools in the area to close but fortunately, we were able to reschedule and I could tell that the students were so excited. I took some time to motivate them to start chasing their dreams and making a difference in their community by sharing my story and helpful tips on how to overcome obstacles that may try to stop them as they pursue their passions.

After my presentation, I made time to sign some books, take pictures and listen to some of the students as they shared there dreams and goals with me. So often, I am asked to speak to youth so I can inspire them but at the end of the day, they are the ones that inspire me. Hearing their stories, watching their smiles and getting their hugs, inspires me to keep doing what I do.
